There are no scheduled air carriers serving the immediate Ellensburg area. There is a <br /> larger municipal airport located in Yakima 30 miles south of Ellensburg. The Yakima airport <br /> has the capacity to handle large commercial transport type aircraft and is currently served by <br /> Alaska Airlines. <br /> Summation and Trend <br /> The region has shown stability over the years. It appears that Central Washington University and <br /> the government related employment base will provide continued stability.
