C. Resourcing: Recommend allocation of funding and other resources necessary <br />to suPPort KCEDP activities. <br />D. Coordinate, support, and Lead: KQEDP activities, which may include <br />assigning designated staff to: <br />i. Coordinate KCEDP initiatives and meetings' <br />ii. Manage contracts with external entities (e.g', consultants, economic <br />development agencies) as directed by COG to support KCEDP objectives' <br />iii. Conduct direct economic development and business recruitment activities. <br />iv. Facilitate reports from the KCEDP on activities, deliverables and outcomes, <br />to be shared with COG' <br />v. Lead and/or facilitate communication to internal and external paftners, <br />stakeholders, and community members as needed' <br />4,2 partner Roles & Responsibilitiesr The KCEDP shall operate under the oversight <br />of the Kittitas County Conference of Governments (COG) and shall be comprised of two <br />separate but collaborative and interactive types of groups_: the Economic Development <br />Rition Committee (Action Committee) and the Economic Development Advisory <br />Group(s) (Advisory GrouP(s))' <br />. The Action Committee will represent each of the aforementioned partners and <br />actively participate in the implementation of the Kittitas County Economic <br />Development Strategic Plan ('the Plan"). <br />. The Advisory Group will serve an ad hoc role to provide subject matter expeftise <br />to the Action Committee, special projects, andlor KCEDP' <br />Both the Action Committee and Advisory Group(s) bring resources, values, and <br />expertise to the paftnership through: <br />A. Collaborative Action: Leverage the expertise of its members and their <br />represented members/constituents to develop and execute initiatives that <br />achieve the mission, vision, and values of the Partnership' <br />B. Strategic Implementation: Work collectively to implement the Plan, including <br />business retention, expansion, and recruitment; infrastructure improvement, <br />public facilities, and community development projects' <br />C. Advisory Role: provide recommendations to the COG on economic development <br />priorities, funding allocations, and policy changes.
