01/20/2026 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of January 19, 2026, they <br />would post the following on their Facebook page: Bullfrog Road <br />overpass project update; & Public Health Measles update. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2026 <br />were determined during the Board of County Commissioners Office <br />Admin meeting on January 12th, 2026, and they will continue to <br />provide updates at future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on <br />meetings & conversations that the Board participated in, <br />individually, over the past week. <br /> <br />Cody Cupp, Assistant Maintenance Director gave an update on the <br />Rodeo Arena project Change Orders. He said they are seeing <br />significant Change Orders for the Stadia Footing at $400,000; <br />Overtime $502,000; and Stage Relocation $200,000 to name a few. He <br />said that Chairman Wright, Event Center Director Porterfield; County <br />Finance and some Rodeo Board members have been meeting and the Rodeo <br />Board has been tapped to look at helping with funding and they will <br />be looking to meet with the City of Ellensburg as well. Assistant <br />Maintenance Director Cupp stated they are approximately 1.4 million <br />over the original contact. He stated that they plan to meet again <br />later today and more updates will be coming. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz provided a copy of a legal service request she <br />was asked to put in for the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) <br />looking at the makeup of the committee and Legal’s opinion. <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board, asked the Board to make sure <br />they had InformaCast pinned to each users toolbar. She stated <br />Security was by on Friday requesting that it be done. She was <br />directed to see if IT can force that application out on all <br />computers.
