MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />Between <br />Kittitas CountY Sheriffs Office <br />and <br />Kittitas County Sheriffs Office Association <br />This Memorand.um of Understand.ing (MOU] is entered into between the Kittitas County <br />Sheriffs Office ["KCS0"J and the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office Association ["Association"), <br />a-Washingto-n-nonpro-fl t-co-rp-oraliq].,--- <br />ARTICLE 1 _ PURPOSE <br />1.1 The purpose of this MOU is to establish the terms under which the Association will <br />create and administer a restricted fund known as the "Kittitas County K9 Partners Fund" to <br />support the establishmen! training, equipmen! veterinary care, and ongoing operational <br />needs of the KCSO K9 Unit. <br />ARTICLE 2 - ROLE OF THE ASSOCIATION <br />2.1 The Association shall create and maintain a resfficted accounttitled "Kittitas County K9 <br />Partners Fund." <br />2.2 Alldonations received into this account shall be used exclusively for K9-related <br />purposes. <br />2.3 The Association may purchase equipmen! training, supplies, and other program needs <br />using K9 Partners funds. <br />2.4 Purchases made using this fund by the Association become the property of KCSO and <br />shall be transferred to KCSO without an expectation of reimbursement. <br />2.5 The Association shall maintain accurate bookkeeping and provide annual summaries to <br />KCSO leadership upon request. <br />ARTICLE 3 - ROLE OF KCSO <br />3.1KCSO will operate and manage the K9 Unit[sJ, including deployment training, <br />supervision, and compliance with law enforcement standards. <br />Page 1 of3
