12/22/2025 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION – KEVIN O’SHAUGHNESSY, MAINT. TECH III <br /> <br />Kevin O’Shaughnessy has announced his upcoming retirement from <br />Kittitas County’s Maintenance Department. Commissioner Wachsmith <br />moved to approve a Certificate of Appreciation to Kevin <br />O’Shaughnessy, for his service. Motion was seconded by Chairman <br />Osiadacz. Motion passed 2-0. <br /> DISCUSSION & DECISION – LANGUAGE ON LTAC CHECK <br />Discussion was tabled until the first Board Administration meeting <br />in January to allow Commissioner Wright to be a part of the <br />discussion and decision. Staff was also directed to contact Amy <br />McGuffin, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, to attend the meeting <br />too. UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board determined that for the week of December 26th, 2025, they <br />would post the following on their Facebook page: Holiday County <br />Office Closures, and the retirement of Security Deputy Roger <br />Hansberry and Maintenance Technician Kevin O’Shaughnessy. <br /> UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2025 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – NONE <br /> <br />Meeting concluded at 9:39 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
