BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESO ON No.2o2s- ,AAt n.....fff RESOLUTION AWARDING FUNDING FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW AND JUSTICE COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF l/lOTH OF IO/" SALES TAX RXSERVES WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly scheduled meeting on October 15,2025, and voted unanimously to approve the below described funding recommendations; and WHEREAS: These expenditures shall be made from the 1/10th of 1% sales tax reserve accorurt established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special projects to foster cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice projects within Kittitas County; and WIIEREAS: Funding is to be made available January 1.2026, upon approval of this resolution unless indicated as urgent * which will be available upon approval; and WHEREAS: The amount available for2026 grants is approximately $103,200 and WHEREAS: Estimated balance in the grant funds is approximately $265,800 after 2026 Grant obligations and maintaining $i00,000 in reserve for the Range Project, and WHEREAS: This Resolution is also amending the Resolution 2024-189 to carry over from 2025 the awarded funds to Kittitas County Jail of $10,000 into 2026. WHEREAS: The grants described below are recommended for approval. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners hereby adopts the following funding recommendations as made by the Kittitas County Law and Justice Council and these expenditures shall be made from the l/iOth of 1olo sales tax reserve account. 26-02 Kittitas County Health Netw'ork THRIVE Youth Mentoring (Mentoring Database $10,000, first aid/CPR 8I,2AA And S 8 0 0 fingerpr int ing) $12,000.00 26-43 Court Advocates for Children for Kittitas County (CASA) (Training) $10,000.00
