BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. <br />AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS WATER RESOURCE MANAGER TO ACCEPT <br />FUNDING FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY AND SIGN <br />GRANT AGREEMENT NO. SEAFBD-2527-KIOCPWD-00022 <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works requested $10,000,00 in funding from the Department of <br />Ecology through the Floodplains by Design Program to finalize permitting and construct <br />the Lower Kittitas Reach Floodpla'ln Reconnection Project; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Ecology has awarded grant funding for these purposes and prepared <br />Funding Agreement No. SEAFBD-2527-K1*CPWD-00022, and <br />WHEREAS: The Lower Kittitas Reach Floodplain Reconnection Project will enable lands <br />recently acquired by the Flood Control Zone District to be managed for floodplai*n <br />management, flood risk reduction, and habitat restoration purposes; and <br />WHEREAS: This project is identified on the Flood Control Zone District Capital Improvement <br />Plan as Project No. 5., <br />NOW, THEREFORE RF IT RESOLVED that the Board of CountyCommissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does authorize the Public Works Water Resource Manager to accept funding from the <br />Washington State Department of Ecology and sign Grant Agreement No. SEAFBD-2527-KiCPWD- <br />000220 <br />DATED this 8th day of December 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington.n. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsml*th, Commissioner <br />
