BOARD OF COUNry COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />REsoLUiloN No. zszs.-a-|k <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SELAH, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />FORTHE HOUSING OF INMATES <br />ADOPTED this <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />WASHINGTON <br />Chairman <br />St/Commissioner <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities br mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Selah, Washington wishes to designate the Kittitas Gounty <br />Jail as a place of confinement for the incarceration of one or more inmates lawfnlly <br />committed to its custody;and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas Gounty is desirous of acepting and keeping in its custody such <br />inmate(s) in the Kittitas County Jail for a rate of mmpensation and other terms and <br />conditiond rnutually agreed upon by the parties: and <br />WHEREAS, by action taken at a regular meeting, the govemirq bodies of each of <br />the parties to the lnterlocalAgreement attached hereto have determined to enter into this <br />lnterlocal Agreement for the ped<rd*om date fully exeeuted until DecemboF 31, 2027, <br />subject to earlier termination as provided in the Agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT HEREBY RESOLVED, that he Board of County <br />Commissionerc of Kittitas County, Washington autrrorizes the execution of the lnterlocal <br />Agreement for the Housing of lnmates that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by <br />this reference, and which shall be brthwith filed with the Kittitas County Audltor pursuant <br />to RCW 39.34.040. <br />,/ruL <br />6 av ot l.)t t" tt ,Llil C- zoz5. <br />( {)lttltl <br />7. <br />//\ <br />}l )r <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />/tr/,{fr <br />Deput/Pro6ecuting Attomey <br />E Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />D Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />RESOLUTION
