12/01/2025 MINUTES 2 <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2025-235 2026 BUDGET AUDITOR <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-235, <br />Adopting the Budget for Kittitas County for the Fiscal Year Ending <br />December 31, 2026. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried <br />3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING TAX LEVY RATES AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 10:46 a.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />possible Tax increases for the Tax Levy Rates and amount for the <br />Taxes Levied in 2025 to be collected in 2026, for the County General <br />Fund, County Road Fund, and County Flood Control District. <br /> <br />ZACK DeHAVEN, BUDGET & FINANCE DIRECTOR , reviewed a Staff Report and <br />statutory requirements to set and certify the tax levy for real <br />property to be collected in 2026. <br /> <br />THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: PAT KELLEHER spoke about the 1% levy <br />lift and how it’s good to talk about inflation. He felt the County <br />has an expense problem, not a revenue problem, and encouraged the <br />Board to send a flag to employees and property tax owners that <br />they’ll hold the line. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, <br />THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2025-236 GENERAL FUND LEVY AUDITOR <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-236, <br />Certifying the General Fund Levy for Municipal Purposes of Kittitas <br />County, Washington for the Year 2026 According to the Assessed <br />Valuation as Determined in the Year 2025. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2025-237 GENERAL FUND LEVY AUDITOR <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-237, <br />Levying Taxes for the General Fund for Municipal Purposes of <br />Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2026 According to the <br />Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2025. COMMISSIONER <br />WACHSMITH seconded.
