BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2025- <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNW SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND THE WASHINGTON TRAFFIC <br />SAFEry COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (W[SC) and Kittitas <br />County Sheriffls Office (KCSO) have the ability and desire to enter into such a cooperative <br />agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the WTSC has and will provide overtime funding to law enforcement <br />agencies to conduct high visibility enforcement (HVE) traffic safe$ emphasis patrols and <br />related activities as outlined in the agreement in support of Target Zero priorities and; <br />WHEREAS, that funding facilitates the goals and duties of the Kittitas County <br />Sheriffs Office in improving the safety of the motoring public by providing these emphasis <br />patrols while reducing the fiscal impact on the County, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED that the lnterlocal Agreement between <br />Kittitas County Sheriffs Office and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission for high <br />visibility emphasis patrols is approved and shall be filed in a manner consistent with RCW <br />39.34.040. -,t.twADOPTED this I 'day of 2025. <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />TY, WASHINGTON <br />T <br />c of Board- Ju Kjorsvik <br />RESOLUTION <br />Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />, Commissioner
