October 2, 2025 <br /> Friends of the Fair Report <br /> The 2025 County Youth Livestock Market Sale was outstanding. In less than four hours,just <br /> under$700,000 was generated in support of local youth, a powerful testament to both the <br /> generosity of our community and the vital role of youth involvement in agriculture. FOF is also <br /> proud to have welcomed more Market Sale sponsors this year,whose combined contributions <br /> totaled nearly$15,000 in dedicated resources. Adding to the success,we were able to bring back <br /> an engaging auctioneer with deep roots in our community and the agricultural industry. Their <br /> presence not only helped drive the event's success but also created a heartfelt experience for our <br /> exhibitors,their families, and local businesses. <br /> The 2025 Market Sale is just one example of the incredible work our board members are <br /> committed to in championing youth and advancing our mission. <br /> Over the past year, FOF has entered a new chapter, energized by fresh ideas, over 10 new active <br /> members, and a renewed commitment to community service. Our board is more dedicated than <br /> ever to supporting local youth and the organizations that uplift them,particularly through <br /> agricultural education,leadership development, and hands-on learning opportunities. <br /> Looking ahead, FOF is excited to expand our impact by growing our mission and launching a <br /> variety of youth centered and community driven initiatives,that may include: <br /> • Educational clinics and workshops focused on livestock care, showmanship,and <br /> entrepreneurship <br /> • Community service projects that inspire youth to give back while building leadership and <br /> teamwork skills <br /> • Family-friendly events that connect the broader community with our agricultural heritage <br /> • Mentorship opportunities to help young people explore and pursue their passions in ag- <br /> related fields <br /> • Collaborative efforts with local schools,4-H, FFA,Manastash Grange, Generations, and <br /> other partners who share our mission <br /> As we continue to build upon this momentum,we affirm the value of maintaining a strong and <br /> engaged partnership with the Kittitas County Fair Board. Through collaborative efforts, we are <br /> better positioned to serve the needs of our community, foster meaningful opportunities for youth, <br /> and advance a unified vision for the future. <br /> The FOF Board extends its gratitude to the Kittitas County Fair Board for your continued <br /> dedication to the Fair and looks forward to working together in shaping more successful future <br /> events for our community. <br />
