Financials are still being completed. $188,292.00 in admission.
Fudacz: All is good in Home Arts, Cats & Dogs.
Self. Looking for case options for Baking Super.
Alderman: All is quiet in the Armory.
Russell: As of Monday 84%, of Sale dollars have been collected and 70% of the Sale
checks have been mailed.
Lael: Nothing new. Great Fair. Has heard lots of compliments from folks about what a
great Fair was this year.
Zempel: Carnival company was happy with their increase. Sponsorships were up 33%.
Working on a job description for Sponsorship Director.
McDowell: Nothing new with Sheep and Goats.
Hollar: All packed up and put away. Thanked Porterfield for stowing the trailer.
Looking forward to 2026 Fair.
Blackwood: Not much new. All good. Great Fair.
Kokjer: Security is all good. For Martin Frontier Village is good
Shenyer: Horse went well. There is a horse show October 511 at Washington State Horse
Park—Bits and Buckles.
Eddings: Good Fair.
Crawford: Super Suite went well. Premium Checks will go out at the end of October.
Books are almost completed.
Sponsorship Discussion: Zempel would like to discuss the possibility of Fair taking on all
Sponsorship Duties. Feels that all Sponsors would be treated equal. There was some confusion
this year with Fair and FOF. Luckily only one sponsor was impacted. Would like to see
uniformity between all Sponsors and to make sure they are all treated equal. McDowell: Took
the suggestion to FOF at their last meeting and they (FOF) have zero interest in the Fair taking
over all Sponsorships. Feels that better communication would eliminate all issues. Lael: as a
sponsor of both Fair&FOF felt it was very clear where his dollars were going. Long discussion.
Porterfield made it clear that the staff does not want to take on Sponsorships and needs to also
make it clear that it would be Kittitas County Fair Board doing the Sponsorships not Kittitas
County. Communication and camaraderie would improve the situation. To be continued.
Other Business: Kokjer: asked why we meet at 7pm? No good reason we just do. It was suggested
to meet at 6pm. Too many are still working. Will discuss again.
Next meeting: November 6th. will adjust time due to many having other commitments; 6:30pm
if possible.
Concluded: 8:15pm
Signed:
President: Dateclrl
Secretary: D a t e I In
