BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025- <br />AUTHORIZING THE SELECTION OF THE FERGUSON GROUP FOR THE <br />CONFERENCE OF GOVERNMENTS REGIONAL ADVOCACY AND FEDERAL <br />FUNDING STRATEGY SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />TO NEGOTIATE AND SIGN THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works advertised a Request for Statement of Qualifications in <br />August 2025, for professional regional advocacy and federal funding strategy services; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Submittals were due on August 29, 2025; and <br />WHEREAS: Two (2) qualified firms submitted their qualifications for review; and <br />WHEREAS: A team comprised of Kittitas County Public Works staff, two (2) Conference of <br />Governments members, and Central Washington University representative reviewed <br />the submittals and recommends The Ferguson Group be selected to provide the <br />Conference of Governments with Regional Advocacy and Federal Funding Strategy <br />Services; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, in the best interest of the public, does hereby select The Ferguson Group for the <br />Conference of Governments Regional Advocacy and Federal Funding Strategy Services and <br />authorize the Public Works Director to negotiate and sign the professional services agreement. <br />NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding be approved through the Distressed County <br />Sales and Use Tax Fund 108. <br />DATED this 4th day of November 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
