AS <br />PUBLIC WORKS ON-CALL TASK ORDER CONSULTANTS FOR UP TO A THREE- <br />YEAR PERIOD OF SERVICE AND AUTHORIZNTHE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO <br />NEGOTIATE AND SIGN SAID PROFESSIONAL SER\TCES AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works advertised a Request for Statement of Qualifications <br />for engineering and professional services consistent with state law and county code in <br />July of2025; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works docketed a request to solicit for engineering and <br />professional services on the Board of County Commission general business agenda <br />on July I't,2025; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners directed Kittitas Counfy Public Works proceed <br />with solicitation efforts and said process concluded with submittals being received on <br />July 31, 2025; arrd <br />WIIEREAS: Consistent with solicitation advertising an internal review team of Kittitas County <br />Public Works staff reviewed and scored all material testing services and related <br />professional engineering services submittals; and <br />WHEREAS: The consensus of the reviewers selects Baer Testing and Engineering, lnc. for <br />professional material testing services agreement for up to a three-year period (two- <br />year base with possible third year extension if mutually agreed upon); <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby select Baer Testing and Engineering, Inc. for professional material <br />testing services and authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and sign said professional <br />services agreement. <br />DATED this 2lst day of October 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />, WASHINGTON <br />Chairman <br />of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br />.Sl-r\L <br />Attest:. <br />,1//l l\' \ \( <br />Coil <br />c <br />! <br />Q\: <br />!
