KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> PUBLIC WORKS—BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> STUDY SESSION DATE: October 27,2025 <br /> TOPIC: 2026 Annual Road Program <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution adopting the <br /> Annual Road Program for 2026 <br /> LEAD STAFF: <br /> Josh Fredrickson <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Approve a Resolution adopting the Annual Road Program for 2026. <br /> BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br /> • Annual Road Program is updated each year and then reported to the County Road <br /> Administration Board(CRAB). <br /> • Program includes three components,the Annual Construction Program;the <br /> Annual Maintenance Plan; and the Equipment Purchase and Major Repair Plan. <br /> • Annual Construction Program is consistent with the Six Year Transportation <br /> Improvement Program <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Each year Public Works prepares the Six Year Transportation Improvement Program <br /> (TIP). Updates to the 2026-2031 TIP have been made. In addition to the TIP, an Annual <br /> Road Program is developed. The adopted annual program is also provided to the County <br /> Road Administration Board (CRAB). The TIP was approved at a public hearing on <br /> October 21, 2025. <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> The Annual Construction Program (Exhibit A) is consistent with the Six Year <br /> Transportation Improvement Program for the year 2026. It also indicates whether the <br /> capital work will be performed using County Forces. <br /> The Annual Maintenance Plan (Exhibit B) was developed utilizing the prior year's <br /> maintenance costs and anticipated maintenance program. <br /> The Annual Equipment Purchase and Major Repair Plan (Exhibit C) was developed <br /> based on the equipment usage and anticipated equipment needs in 2026. <br />
