ER & R FUND 501 <br /> 2026 Equipment Rental & Revolving Budget- Fund 501 <br /> Program Description: <br /> Public Works administers Fund 501 (Equipment Rental and Revolving) in compliance with RCW 36.33A.030. The Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund is to manage the <br /> purchase, maintenance, and repair of equipment and inventory used in fulfilling the objectives of the Public Works Department. Established and adopted rental rates are <br /> applied to equipment used. <br /> Revenue Sources: <br /> Rental rates for equipment used; Sale of county owned material to the County Road Fund. <br /> Staff Summary: <br /> The County Engineer, with assistance from the Fleet Manager and Public Works Director manage the fund. Fleet is maintained by four mechanics and the fleet manager. <br /> Functions: <br /> Administration: Mechanic Shop: <br /> • Financial management and administration 0 Maintain the fleet of vehicles <br /> • Asset management 0 Maintain the County mechanical shop facilities <br /> • Develop rental rates <br /> • Inventory management Pits and Quarries: <br /> Central Stores: Manage the pits and stockpiles owned by Kittitas County Roads <br /> • Maintain supply of pipe and guardrail used on County roads <br /> • Maintain inventory for fleet maintenance and repairs <br /> Notes for 2026: <br /> Equipment purchases are proposed to allow for replacement of existing equipment. <br /> 27 <br />
