VIII. LIBRARY MEMBER REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> a. Cle Elum } <br /> i. Started Storytime again on Monday mornings. Art party on Wednesday nights. <br /> Employees unionized. Requested library aid job description from Ellensburg <br /> public to use as a model. Ramping up for summer reading. <br /> b. CWU Brooks Library <br /> 1. In the process of hiring Associate Dean. CWU Libraries staff and faculty levels <br /> remain low. Do hope for additional future hires. We have a spring Friends of <br /> the Brooks Library book sale and a few author talks this spring. <br /> c. Ellensburg <br /> i. Approval for block grant from dept. of commerce to replace HVAC system. <br /> Hope to begin work by the end of this year. Otherwise,business as usual. <br /> d. Kittitas I <br /> 1. No report. E <br /> e. Roslyn I <br /> f <br /> } <br /> i. Collaborating on summer reading with Carpenter Library. Events include ' <br /> Penny's Puppets, summer reading on Fridays, Dungeons and Dragons on <br /> Wednesday, and Magic the Gathering on Thursdays. Had to close the library in <br /> order to take a vacation. Have funding donated from the Friends group but has <br /> not been approved to hire a backup. Welcome any guidance on moving <br /> forward. <br /> f. Genealogy <br /> i. Working with Olivia at the Ability Employment services, and she's scheduled <br /> volunteers to asSitt. Cancelled last event due to illness and faulty equipment. <br /> Julia Stringfellow, CWU University Archivist,will present in May. Al Sharp <br /> presentation in May. <br /> IX. UNSCHEDULED BUSINESS <br /> a. Josephine will send a poll for the next meeting time. <br /> X.
