KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />PUBLIC WORKS — BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: October 13, 2025 <br />TOPIC: On -Call Task Order Consultants providing <br />Professional Services to Public Works <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Information only <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Josh Fredrickson <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Informational briefing — no action required by the Board <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Public Works solicits for on -call professional services <br />• Request for Statement of Qualifications for professional services was solicited in <br />July 2025 <br />• Responses from qualified consultants were received and reviewed by a review <br />committee to select the most qualified firms <br />BACKGROUND: <br />PW solicits for on -call professional services. The current On -Call task order roster is <br />nearing completion on December 31, 2025. Professional service agreements are entered <br />into with qualified firms which provide the requested service. Task Orders are used to <br />complete the work on an individual need basis. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Public Works received approval to advertise a request for Statement of Qualifications to <br />solicit for professional services on July 1, 2025. Submittals from qualified firms were <br />due July 31, 2025. Public Works reviewed and scored submittals for professional services <br />including Material Testing, Structural Engineering, Property Acquisition, Archaeological, <br />Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulic and Hydrology, Right -of -Way, Transportation <br />Modeling, Environmental Permitting and Civil Engineering. Professional on -call services <br />support Public Works by providing capacity on project specific items. It is anticipated <br />that a Professional Services Agreement will be in place with the selected firms for a two- <br />year period with a third optional year if mutually agreed upon. <br />
