§17.08.580 §17.08.620 <br />§17.08.580. Yard depth. <br />"Yard depth" means the minimum perpendicular distance between any point on a lot line and the <br />nearest part of any structure or building, excluding an 18-inch eave (overhang) no closer than 5 <br />feet to the property line, and excluding retaining walls necessary for access permits as determined <br />by Kittitas County Public Works. <br />(Res. 83-10, 1983; Ord. 2022-017, 2022) <br />§ 17.08.590. Yard, front. <br />"Front yard" means any yard with frontage on a public or private street. <br />(Res. 83-10, 1983; Ord. 2022-017, 2022) <br />§ 17.08.600. Yard, rear. <br />"Rear yard" means an open unoccupied space on the same lot with a building between the rear line <br />of the building (exclusive of steps, porches and accessory building) and the rear line of the lot. <br />For triangular lots the rear yard shall be the area of the lot lying within a circle having a radius <br />equal to the depth of the required rear yard and its center at a point therein defined as the rear <br />property line for such lots. <br />(Res. 83-10, 1983) <br />§ 17.08.610. Yard, side. <br />"Side yard" means an open unoccupied space on the same lot with a building, between the side <br />wall line of the building and the side line of the same lot. <br />(Res. 83-10, 1983) <br />§ 17.08.620.
