KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2025 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 7, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing on October 21, 2025, at <br />2:00 pm local time, to consider the adoption of the Six Year <br />Transportation Improvement Program for 2026-2031 and <br />2026 Annual Construction Program. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has prepared a Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Program for 2026-2031 and a 2026 Annual <br />Construction Program. <br />Each year Public Works solicits public comment on the <br />annual and six -year plan. A press release was posted from <br />August 18 through September 5, 2025 soliciting comments <br />on the six year and annual plan. Information was also <br />posted on the Public Works website as well as social media <br />post from the BOCC office. <br />Any revisions to the 2026-2031 Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Plan or 2026 Annual Construction Program <br />based on public comment will be presented at the hearing. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing on October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. to <br />consider adopting the Six Year Transportation program for <br />2026-2031 and the 2026 Annual Construction Program. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, Public Works Director. <br />
