May 8, 2025
Umbraco Website Redesign Proposal
Executive Summary
Kittitas County – Umbraco CMS Migration Project
Diagram will partner with Kittitas County to complete a focused migration of the department’s website
to Umbraco Cloud, establishing a modern, scalable, and secure content management foundation.
This initiative is designed to not only support the immediate needs of the county but also set the
stage for future expansion across other county websites—maximizing long-term value and return on
investment.
The project will kick off with a 1-day virtual discovery session, during which both teams will align
on goals, content priorities, and technical considerations. From there, we will move into an agile
implementation cycle that includes:
• Design: Applying accessibility best practices and design consistency to ensure ease of use
and compliance.
• Build: Configuring Umbraco Cloud within a multi-site environment, enabling future growth
while keeping things manageable.
• Test: Conducting functionality, accessibility, and Quality Assurance (QA) checks to validate
that the new site performs reliably across key scenarios.
Diagram will also support content migration, provide training to county staff, and prepare for a
seamless deployment and go-live.
Importantly, this project creates a strong technical and editorial foundation that Kittitas County can
use to accelerate the future migration of its remaining web properties—saving time, reducing
duplicated efforts, and streamlining governance across departments.
