BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE FACILITIES LEASE AGREEMENT WITH <br />ELLENSBURG RODEO ASSOCATION <br />NO. 2025- 1'1 2 <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and Ellensburg Rodeo Association entered into an agreement <br />executed on January 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents of Kittitas County benefit from the investment in the rodeo arena <br />project which will enhance tourism, generate increased visitation, and expand <br />event -hosting capabilities for the community accordance with the adopted Kittitas <br />County Tourism Strategic Plan, et. seq., and amendments, changes, and <br />alterations thereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the reconstruction of the northwest rodeo arena grandstands is a priority project <br />identified in the recently adopted Kittitas County Tourism Strategic Plan is <br />necessary; <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas Valley Event Center Facilities Lease Agreement is attached hereto and <br />incorporated by reference; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, authorize and approve the lease agreement in the best interests of the <br />public, does hereby authorize the Facilities Lease Agreement. <br />DATED this 07___ day of September 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />ATTEST: <br />❑ Clerk of a Boar <br />deputy Clerk of t e Board <br />
