BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2025 - <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF A SPEED ZONE AND THE PLACEMENT OF SPEED LIMIT <br />SIGNS ON BULLFROG ROAD AND AMENDING SECTION 10.08.020 SPEED LIMITS <br />OF THE KITTITAS COUNTY CODE <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works recently conducted a speed study of a portion of <br />Bullfrog Road (MP 0.00 to MP 0.72); and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners did hold a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm to hear public testimony regarding the <br />establishment of a 50 mile -per -hour speed zone and placement of speed limit <br />signs on the above listed road; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners have determined that a 50 <br />mile -per -hour speed limit is the appropriate speed limit for Bullfrog Road from <br />Mile Post 0.00 to Mile Post 0.72; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED that the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners, after due deliberation and in the best interest of the public, does <br />hereby establish a 50 mile -per -hour speed limit on Bullfrog Road at MP 0.00 to <br />MP 0.72 and authorizes the placement of speed limit signs at the above stated <br />locations and amends Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.020 as indicated in <br />Exhibit A. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance will become effective upon the installation <br />of appropriate signage. <br />i <br />ADOPTED the 16"' day of September 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
