Kittitas County, WA <br />§ 10.08.040 § 10.08.045 <br />a. State Route 903 from Milepost 3.76 to Milepost 3.87. <br />"School days" as referenced herein are the days that school is in session (including "makeup" <br />days due to school closures) as established by the school district referenced to each road. <br />"MP" refers to "mile post" number designation of county roads. These roads are to be posted <br />with signage substantially as follows: <br />"SCHOOL SPEED LIMIT 20" and "SCHOOL DAYS 7:30 AM TO 4:00 PM", or <br />"SCHOOL SPEED LIMIT 20" and "SCHOOL DAYS 7:30 AM TO 4:00 PM OR <br />WHEN FLASHING", or <br />"SCHOOL SPEED LIMIT 20 WHEN FLASHING" <br />The Director of Public Works is authorized to post such additional advisory signage, <br />warnings, or lights as deemed appropriate in the vicinity of these school areas to warn of the <br />presence of a school and/or children. <br />This section is enacted pursuant to RCW 46.61.415 and RCW 46.61.440, in which the county <br />is authorized to create a school speed zone that may extend three hundred feet from the border <br />of the school property. A person found to have committed any infraction relating to speed <br />restrictions within a school shall be assessed a monetary penalty equal to twice the penalty <br />assessed under RCW 46.63.110. This penalty may not be waived, reduced, or suspended. <br />(Res. Twenty miles per hour. <br />The following roads or portions thereof shall have a maximum speed limit of twenty miles per <br />hour: <br />1. Keechelus Drive. <br />2. Romans Court. <br />3. Rampart Drive. <br />4. Keechelus Drive. <br />5. Cascade Place. <br />6. Snoqualmie Drive. <br />7. Garmisch Place. <br />8. Hyak Drive East. <br />9.
