Motion carried <br />3-0. <br /> <br />LEGAL NOTICE JOINT RFP COLD WEATHER SHELTER PUBLIC HEALTH <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wright moved to approve a Joint Request for Proposals <br />for qualified organizations to manage a Cold Weather Shelter (CWS) <br />from November 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026, and November 1, 2026 – March <br />31, 2027, to be accepted until September 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at <br />the Kittitas County Public Health Department, <br />healthandhumanservices@co.kittitas.wa.us, 507 N Nanum Street, <br />Ellensburg, WA and to authorize the Clerk to publish said notice. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of September 8, 2025, they <br />would post the following on their Facebook page: Reminder - LTAC <br />Grant Application Deadline; Recreation & Road Closures due to fires; <br />Air Quality Resources. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2025 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on <br />meetings & conversations that the Board participated in, <br />individually, over the past week. <br /> <br />Chad Bala, CDS Director, provided an update on him being out of the <br />office over the next few weeks.
