30.1 <br />30.2 <br />ln the performance of this Agreement, the Contractorwill not <br />dlscrlmlnate agalnst any employee or applicant for employrnent on the <br />grounds of race, cre€+d, color, national origin, sex, ssxualorlentatlon, <br />maritalstatus, age or the presence of any sen'sory, rnenlal or <br />physical handicap; provided that tlrs prohibition against discrimlnation <br />in employment because of handicap shall not apply lf the particular <br />disability prcvents the proper perfonnance of the particularworker <br />involved. The Gontractor ehall ensure that applicants are employed, <br />and that employees are treated during employmentwithout <br />discrimlnation because of their Face, creed, color, national orlgln, $ex, <br />sexualorientation, maritalstatus, age orthe pr€sen@ of any $en$ory, <br />mental or physlcal handicap. $uch aotlon shall lnclude, but not be <br />lirnlted to: employment, upgrading, demotion ortmnsfers, recruiknent or <br />recruitmentadvertlslng, layoff crtermination, mtes of pay or other <br />forms of compensation, and prograrns fortnaining including <br />apprenticeships. The Contractor shall take such ac{ion with respect to <br />thls Agreement as may be requlred to ensure fullcompliance with <br />local, state and federal laws prohlbiting discrimination in employment. <br />30.3 Nondiscrimination inServlceq <br />The Contractor will not discriminate against any reciplent of any services <br />or benefits prnvided for ln this Agreement on the gmunds of naoe, <br />creed, color, nationalorigin, sex, sexual orientation, rnarital status, age or <br />the presence of any sensory, mentalor physlcalhandhap. <br />30.4 lf any asslgnment and/or subcontracting has been authorized by the <br />County, said assignment or subcontract shall include approplate <br />$afeguards againstdiscrirnination. The Contractor shall take such <br />astion as may be required to ensure full compliance with he <br />provisions in the immediately precedlng paragraphs herein. <br />31. Pr:evailinq Wase: <br />Contractor shall pay the prevalling rate of wages to all workers, laborers, or mechanics <br />employed in he performance of any part of the Work in accoldance wlth RCW 39.12 <br />and the rules and rcgulations of the Depaftment of Labor and lndustries.
