08/25/2025 MINUTES 2 <br />Commissioner Wachsmith stated that Congresswoman Schrier is <br />considering doing a Vietnam “pinning” ceremony 08/29/25 at 2pm. Her <br />other activities will be centered around fair and rodeo festivities. <br /> REQUEST NOISE ORDINANCE – Davis COMMISSIONERS <br />Chairman Wright moved to approve a Request for a Noise Ordinance <br />Exemption Waiver for Todd & Missy Davis for Saturday the 13th of <br />September 2025, until 11:00pm, located at 533 Crusoe Lane, <br />Ellensburg, WA 98926. Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board determined that for the week of August 25th, 2025, they <br />would post the following on their Facebook page: Major focus would <br />be Fair and Rodeo; Law & Justice Grant Applications are available <br />until August 31; and the Upper Swauk Restoration Project public <br />comment period. <br /> UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />No meetings were held due to scheduled leave/vacations. <br /> <br /> OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on <br />meetings & conversations that the Board participated in, <br />individually, over the past week. <br />Public Works Director Josh Fredrickson stated that applications had <br />been submitted, and a provisional award was granted to improve <br />county broadband. The review process can take up to 90 days. Updates <br />will be given as they become available. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright discussed the potential for a Fish and Wildlife <br />land acquisition in the Umptanum. More info will be brought forward <br />as it is publicized. <br /> <br />Discussion about a possible partnership between The Nature <br />Conservancy, Yakama Nation, and Mountains to Sound Greenway was <br />tabled until more information is available. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz commented on the excellent response from all <br />agencies in regard to the multiple I-90 brush fires. <br />
