Funding Sources <br />Construction funding: <br />Upper Kittitas County voters witt be asked to fund approximatety 75-80% of the project's <br />construction costthrough bonds secured by propertytax revenues. Based on an assessed <br />vatuation of $7 bittion across the upper county, the estimated impact is $0.39 per $1,000 of <br />assessed vatue. As the region continues to grow, this cost per thousand is expected to <br />dectine with increasing totaI assessed vatue. <br />To comptement the bond funding, the Project Committee is committed to raising at teast <br />$10 mil.tion in non-bond funds through a combination of targeted pubtic and private <br />sources. R $+ mittion grant from the Kittitas County Lodging Tax Fund woutd significantty <br />strengthen the project's fundraising position-enhancing the I'iketihood of meeting or <br />exceeding the $10 mittion goaI and demonstrating broad public support for the faciLity. <br />Recognizing that major donors wit[ require cl.arity regarding ownership and [ong-term <br />governance, the Project Committee has prudentty detayed taunching a formaI capitat <br />campaign untit those structures are finatized.
