a I <br />UPPER KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Community Recreation Center <br />)une25,2025 <br />To the Members of the Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee: <br />As representatives of a team that has worked ditigentty for severaI years to bring a community <br />recreation center to upper Kittitas county, we thank you for the opportunity to submit this Apptication <br />for the 2025 Lodging Tax Large Capitat Project Program. Whil.e a community recreation center witt be <br />transformative for residents of alt ages in upper county, who have voiced their desires for a <br />community recreation center for more than twenty years, we betieve this project is uniquety deserving <br />of lodging tax funding because: <br />a Currentty, there are veryfew indoor recreation options forvisitors in upper county. Avisitor <br />occupying one of the many short-term rentats outside Suncadia, has no access to such <br />facitities. Even visitors to Suncadia are tooking for options, as overcrowding of Suncadia's <br />facitities continues to increase. White not quantifiabte, this facitity witt undoubtedty attract <br />visitors. <br />The city has approved our appLication, and construction documents are comptete.
