The PLan identifies and assesses risks <br />the County faces from 10 naturaI hazards and outtines strategies the County departments, <br />municipatities, and special. districts have identified for reducing the impact of these hazards. <br />Kittitas County is currentty seeking stakeholder and pubtic comment on the 2024 Kittitas <br />County Hazard Mitigation PLan draft. The Ptan is comprised of Votume 1, which inctudesthe <br />Countywide Ptanning Etements, and 15 Annexes - one (1) for each of the ptan participants <br />tisted betow. <br />lnterested stakehotders and the pubtic have untit Novcmbcr 7 ,2024, to review and provide <br />feedback on the Ptan and its annexes before it is submitted to the Washin$on Emergency <br />Management Division and FEMA for review, The Ptan is available for downtoad via the Kittitas <br />County Hazard Mitigation Ptan website, along with instructions on how to submit comments, <br />We are asking our ptan participants and stakeholders to assist us in distributing this <br />information to the pubtic. Your assistance is greatty appreciated. We have provided you with <br />sample sociat media taglines, ftyers, and infographics thatyou can share with your <br />community, As you are sharing information about the plan and pubtic comment period, please <br />document your efforts!
