2025 Hazard Mitigatlon Plan <br />Kittitas County, Washington <br />governing body within the State of Washington legitimizes the Plan and authorizes Kittitas County and <br />its jurisdictions to implement mitigation responsibilities and activities. <br />A hazard mitigation plan must document that it has been formally adopted by the governing bodies of the <br />jurisdictions requesting federal approval of the Plan (44 CFR Section 201.6(c)(5)). For multi-jurisdictional <br />plans, such as this, each jurisdiction requesting approval must formally adopt the Plan. This Plan will be <br />submitted for a pre-adoption review to the Washington State Emergency Management Division and <br />FEMA Region 10 prior to adoption. Once pre-adoption approval has been provided, all participating <br />jurisdictions will formally adopt the Plan. Federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 compliance and its <br />benefits cannot be achieved until the Plan is adopted.
