2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />Kittitas Gounty, Washington <br />The cold wave annualized frequency value represents the average number of recorded cold wave hazard <br />occurrences in event days, per year over the period of record (16.9 years). Table 4-108 outlines the <br />annualized frequency for cold waves, based on FEMA NRI data, for Kittitas County. <br />Table 4-108. Past Events <br />NCEI has reported six (6) heavy rainfall events, four (4) hail events of one (1) inch or greater, 12 strong <br />wind/damaging wind events, zero (0) tornado events, '10 heat wave/excessive heat events, and 11 cold <br />wave/extreme cold events between 1950 and 2023. There have not been any notable severe weather <br />events in Kittitas County. <br />Table 4-109 lists the heavy rain events that have been recorded in Kittitas County between 1950 and <br />2023. <br />Table 4-109.
