BRIEFING SUMMARY: Fire District 3 requested funding for improvements to their HeliPad • Direction was provided to Public Works to identify boundary lines and ownership of land at the HeliPad + Land survey work has been completed • An apparent overlap in title occurs on the north side of the property BACKGROUND: At the January 16, 2025 Auditor Study Session, there was a discussion regarding the HeliPad adjacent to Fire District 3 (District) station in Easton and the requested improvements to the HeliPad. Public Works was directed to perform land surveying and record search to identify land ownership of the HeliPad and adjacent property to more fully understand ownership and access. Land survey work to identify property boundaries has been completed and draft survey sheets can be found in Exhibit A. DISCUSSION: The District HeliPad is frequently used by emergency services including search and rescue. A request was made by the District for funding to make improvements. Due to ambiguous and overlapping ownership and access required additional research. To substantiate the ownership of the HeliPad and adjoining facility, land survey information was obtained. It was finalized that the HeliPad and building are within the parcel lines of the District ownership. An apparent overlap in title occurs along the north line of the boundary which is being occupied by the District. FISCAL IMPACT:
