Nursing home. <br /> "Nursing home"means a home,place or institution which operates or maintains facilities providing <br /> convalescence or chronic care or both for a period in excess of twenty-four(24) consecutive hours <br /> for three (3) or more patients not related by blood or marriage to the operator, who by reason of <br /> illness or infirmity are unable properly to care for themselves, and is licensed by the State <br /> Department of Health as a nursing home. <br /> (Res. 83-10, 1983; Ord. 2013-001, 2013) <br /> § 17.08.421.
