Goals and Strategies <br /> Goal 1: Promote an equitable, accountable, and transparent homeless crisis response system. <br /> A community-wide effort to address homelessness requires a clear, coordinated, and transparent system. Kittitas <br /> County has multiple providers and services working to support individuals experiencing homelessness, but public <br /> understanding and awareness about how these resources fit together can be improved. Increasing transparency and <br /> accountability within the homeless crisis response system builds public trust and ensures resources are used <br /> effectively. <br /> To achieve this,the community will focus on clear communication, regular reporting,and ongoing engagement.This <br /> includes: <br /> • Holding regular community meetings and forums to provide updates,gather input, and build awareness. <br /> • Producing clear and accessible annual progress reports. <br /> • Developing a communications and educational toolkit, including a visual system ma, messaging, and key <br /> resources, that municipalities, service providers, and local organizations can user to share accurate, <br /> consistent information about homelessness,the local response system,and available services. <br /> • Strengthening the use of the Coordinated Entry system, ensuring consistent and fair access to housing and <br /> services, minimizing duplication, and maximizing efficiency. <br /> The goal is to increase transparency so that everyone, residents, service providers, elected officials, and people <br /> experiencing homelessness clearly understand how the system works, where to access help, and how public <br /> resources are being used.This is an ongoing effort that will evolve as the system matures,and the community needs <br /> change. <br /> Measuring success <br /> Success will be measured not by attendance at public meetings alone,but by meaningful engagement in community <br /> workgroups and collaborative efforts that support the system's ongoing development. Additional indicators of <br /> progress include the distribution and active use of a communications toolkit by municipalities,service providers,and <br /> local organizations to promote consistent and accurate messaging; improved public understanding of the local <br /> homelessness system and available services, as reflected in community surveys; and increased use of Coordinated <br /> Entry as the primary access point for individuals and families seeking assistance. <br /> Goal 2: Strengthen the homeless service provider workforce. <br /> A strong and sustainable homeless response system depends on the capacity,resilience,and well-being of the people <br /> working within it. Retaining skilled staff and fostering a culture of shared learning and support are essential to <br /> improving service quality and building a more consistent, collaborative homeless response system across Kittitas <br /> County. <br /> Funding capacity building and staff development remains a critical gap across the non-profit and social services <br /> sector. Addressing this need is important to building a sustainable workforce and ensuring high-quality services for <br /> people experiencing homelessness in our community. <br /> To achieve this,the community will focus on creating professional development opportunities for service providers <br /> and volunteers, including: <br />
