<br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO. 2025-____ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE KITTITAS COUNTY TOURISM <br />INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS APPLICATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County imposes a lodging tax assessed on the sale or charge made for <br />furnishings of lodging according to RCW 67.28.180 and RCW 67.28.181; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: According to RCW 67.28.1816, lodging tax revenues under this chapter may be <br />used, directly by any municipality or indirectly through a convention and visitor <br />bureau or destination marketing organization for:…(c) supporting the operations <br />and capital expenditures of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by a <br />municipality…; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee designated 10 million <br />dollars to be available as part of this process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County solicited applications for the Tourism-Related, Municipality- <br />Owned Infrastructure Projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In accordance with the program application and process, the Kittitas County <br />Lodging Tax Advisory Committee has reviewed, and ranked all the applications <br />submitted to Kittitas County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee met in an open public <br />meeting on July 9th, 2025 to consider applications and develop funding <br />recommendations for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That Kittitas County hereby awards the 2025 <br />Tourism-Related Infrastructure Projects as follows: <br /> <br />1. City of Roslyn-Historic Roslyn Cemetery Irrigation Project $ 412,000 <br />2. City of Roslyn-Historic Roslyn Cemetery Signage $ 25,000 <br />3. City of Cle Elum-Washington State Horse Park-Facilities $3,275,000 <br />4. KVEC-Rodeo Grandstands Reconstruction $3,000,000 <br />5. City of Cle Elum-UKC Community Recreation Center $3,288,000 <br />6. City of Ellensburg-Fieldhouse not funded <br />7. Matt Stephens-Documentary Film “Broken Glass” not funded <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
