Economic Factor <br />An estimation of the impact, expressed in terms of dollars, on the local economy is based on a loss of <br />business revenue, crops, worker wages, and local tax revenues or on the impact on the local gross <br />domestic product (GDP). Table 4-12 outlines the economic factors used in the risk assessment <br />calculation of this Plan. <br />Table 4-12. Essential Operations Factors <br />The essential operations factor is the impact on the ability of the jurisdiction to meet the essential day-to- <br />day operational demands and needs of the community after a single major hazard event.
