STAKEHOLDER WEBINAR – PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD <br />In an effort to engage Kittitas County’s stakeholders during the public comment period, two (2) webinars <br />were hosted to provide further information on the Kittitas County Hazard Mitigation Plan 2025 update <br />draft and guidance on the stakeholder support needed during the public comment period. This webinar <br />was meant for Kittitas County Hazard Mitigation stakeholders – agencies, organizations, and community <br />groups with a connection to hazard mitigation planning, implementation, and public outreach. <br /> <br />The webinar invite was sent to the full list of stakeholders listed in Section B.4 of this Plan. Additionally, <br />all plan participants and Steering Committee members, listed in Section 1.5.2, were invited. <br /> <br />Both webinars were hosted on October 9, 2024; the first webinar was hosted during regular business <br />hours while the second one was hosted after hours. The sign in sheets for the Stakeholder Webinars are <br />below. <br /> <br />Subsequent to the webinars, an e-mail was sent to all invitees (i.e., plan participants, stakeholders, <br />Steering Committee members) requesting plan review and feedback, and assistance in distributing <br />information to the public, including the underserved population. Additionally, a public engagement toolkit <br />was provided to assist with the dissemination for public comment. The toolkit included sample social <br />media taglines, flyers, and infographics that stakeholders and plan participants could share with the <br />community. The public comment period flyers, infographics, and website and social media post samples <br />can be found in Appendix C. <br />
