Local Planning Teams and Community Representatives <br />Each of the participating jurisdictions identified representatives to serve on their Local Planning Teams. <br />The Local Planning Teams were instrumental in identifying community-specific risks/hazards and <br />identifying and prioritizing mitigation actions that would reduce the costs of disaster response and <br />recovery, protect people and infrastructure, and minimize overall disruption to their respective <br />communities in the event of a disaster. The Local Planning Team members for each participating <br />jurisdiction can be found in their respective annexes. <br />1.5.4. Supporting Organizations <br />Throughout the planning process, key stakeholders, departments, and community organizations, <br />including local community organizations that provide support to underserved communities, engaged in <br />providing key input, data, disseminating information about the Plan, survey, meetings, and reviewing the <br />draft of the Plan (i.e., public comment period). Details regarding stakeholder engagement throughout the <br />planning process and a list of stakeholders can be found in Appendix B. <br />1.6. PLAN APPROVAL AND ADOPTION <br />The Plan presents a comprehensive description of Kittitas County’s commitment to significantly reduce <br />or eliminate the potential impacts of disasters through planning and mitigation.
