KITTITAS COUNTY
PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES
COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109
Regular Meeting
MONDAY 1:30 PM JULY 14, 2025
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman Cory
Wright
Others: Josh Fredrickson, Cameron Curtis, Candie Leader, Public
Works; No members of the public.
At 1:30 PM Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study
Session.
No Citizen Comments.
KITTITAS COUNTY TITLE 10 AMENDMENTS
Cameron Curtis briefed the Board of County Commissioners on
inconsistencies found within Kittitas County Title 10 Vehicles and
Traffic, which includes speed limits and roadway widths. Cameron
Curtis stated that to correct these inconsistencies two of the items
will require public hearings and staff is seeking direction on moving
forward to set said hearings. Direction was given to move forward
with setting the necessary public hearings at a future agenda
session.
BULLFROG ROAD SPEED STUDY
Cameron Curtis gave background on the current speed limit of Bullfrog
Road and the request to increase the speed limit from thirty-five
(35) miles per hour to fifty (50) miles per hour. Cameron Curtis
stated that traffic counters were placed to record speeds and that
information shows the 851h percentile speed at fifty point three
(50.3) miles per hour. Cameron Curtis added that the speed limit on
Bullfrog Road was initially lowered by Ordinance 93-14 due to the
bridge deck that had damage at that time. Cameron Curtis stated that
this bridge deck has since been repaired and staff is requesting
direction to set a public hearing to consider the speed change on
Bullfrog Road. Staff was directed to move forward with setting a
public hearing to consider a speed change on Bullfrog Road.
There was no other business for discussion.
2025-07-14 MINUTES
