Discussion on Grant Testimonials:
Doug Fessler brought up the question of who should be campaigning for keeping the tax beyond
the 2027 sunset clause. Kasey Knutson informed him that the county must remain neutral and
cannot campaign but can share informative content on behalf of the board. The group discussed
ways they would like to capture and share testimonials about the outcome of the funded
projects. They noted that while the tax will not be on the ballot, instead a decision made by the
commissioners, it is important for the community to see the positive impact and feel confident
in the way tax dollars are being used.
5. Meeting concluded at 2:11 PM
KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH KITTITAS COUNTY,WASHINGTON
DEPARTMENT CLERK
Emma Madland Brett Wachsmith,Chairman
2
