Attachment D
WORK PLAN
FY 2023 Emergency Management Performance Grant
The purpose of this attachment is to identify the activities planned by the Subrecipient under this Grant
Agreement, funded by EMPG and required match funding, and subsequently approved as allowable under
EMPG by the EMPG Program Manager.
Emergency Management Organization Kittitas County Sheriff's Office
PROJECT #1 TITLE All -Hazard Evacuation Flyers
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project is for the printing costs of all hazard notification and evacuation flyers. The flyers will be distributed
during an emergency wherein residents are being advised to be aware, prepare, and evacuate their residence for life
safety purposes. The flyers provide vital details in English and Spanish that instructs residents on what to do and
where the shelter is located.
OUTCOME
Evacuation flyers are used in conjunction with public messaging and social media and explain the steps to get ready
for evacuation at every level. For some community members, these multi language flyers may be the only guidance
on what the evacuation levels mean and the recommended actions for each level. This increases preparedness and
resilience of community members who may not otherwise be educated on or have access to social media messaging
for evacuation best practices.
DHS-FEMA-EMPG-FY23 Page 38 of 41 Kittitas County Sheriffs Office, E25-363
