<br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Information Technology “Study Session Staff Report”, 2/24/2025 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STAFF REPORT FOR <br />STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />Information Technology <br /> <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: 2/24/25 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Recurring update on Intranet Modernization <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: No Action - Information Only <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Zane Kinney <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />No recommendation requested. <br /> <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />This item is intended to be a regular monthly update to the Board on our intranet <br />modernization initiative, the current work being done, and the progress to the present. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In 2023 the Board directed IT to work on modernizing CAMAS. Since that time, IT has <br />developed a project plan, and progress has been made to reach our goals. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Current work in progress: <br />• Third-party software solution for asset management is being configured for data <br />migration of FATS. Estimated time of go-live of new software is Q3. IT is <br />investigating if this software may also be able to replace the motor pool feature, <br />• Cayenta upgrade and retirement of NOVAtime is underway. Completion of this <br />project will remove several CAMAS features, among them: purchasing portal, <br />voucher processing, credit card log. Other features used by AU Finance and HR <br />will become unnecessary. <br />• IT is analyzing MS SharePoint as a potential replacement for website platform of <br />CAMAS. <br />• IT has begun discovery for a replacement for PAS and Agenderator. <br />• IT is coordinating with CDS regarding a replacement for the Preliminary Site <br />Analysis feature in CAMAS. Work began on this, then IT was informed that CDS <br />was developing another solution for this, within SmartGov, in parallel to IT’s <br />efforts. Further communication is needed. <br /> <br />Completed Tasks: <br />• IT Service Request System has been completely migrated to third-party software. <br /> <br />
