The finance system and its in-house built
features are being transferred to a 3rd party software, Cayenta. The
asset management system, FATS, is being moved to a 3rd party management
system, Asset Panda.

IT is working on asset page configuration and consulting with multiple
departments to workshop. IT is currently waiting on feedback.

The IT Department is considering Microsoft SharePoint as the County’s
new intranet platform. SharePoint integrates other Microsoft products
which offer low-code-no-code development. It is researching if
SharePoint, in combination Microsoft Purview, can provide records
management features. Microsoft Purview is a record searcher giving
County staff access to highly confidential and sensitive records that
could put the County at legal risk due to a lack of procedure for
record searching. Zane suggested for the Management team to address
this concern as well as strongly recommending that IT not be the sole
record searcher which would give IT staff access to sensitive data.
Zane suggested putting together a multi-level authorization permission
giving staff different levels of access in Purview.
