Making recommendations to the BoCC regarding approval of new social
media accounts proposed by departments and offices, and
2. Approving requests for new content additions to the public website.
• The membership of the CSC came to a consensus that those responsibilities did
not fit within the scope and mission of the new committee and requested IT to
consider the topic and look for possible alternative solutions.
• As part of the discussion with the CSC, IT enumerated several challenges and
potential risks associated with one individual in IT being the administrator of all
the county’s social media pages and accounts. The CSC recommended that IT
take these concerns to the Board.
