Project the fully implemented local plans on the number of households <br />housed and the number of households left unsheltered, assuming existing <br />rcsources and stalc, policies. <br />This project will add 25 units to the county homeless stock, as well as 25 additional units of <br />affordable low-incorne housing, a priority of Objective 4 in the recently updated homeless plan. <br />fhe plan also shows an increased need for housing that targets senior, disabled, and veteran <br />households who are rapidly being priced out of the market, This project will add ten units of <br />low-lncome housing targeting households earning at or below SA% AMl. Homeless households <br />will be placed through coordinated €ntry, which will reduce pressure on the homeless <br />response systern in the county. <br />l7l aoar.r, racial disparities amongst people experiencing homelessness, <br />HopeSource recognizes that race and economic status can significantly limit the opportunities <br />of program participants and acknowledges the unequal impact of these factors. HopeSource <br />worksto prepare prograrn partlcipants to overcome systemic racism in housing education, <br />asset building, income, employrnent, and access to high-quality food. lt is the expectation that <br />employees are sensitive to all diversity within the population of persons served by the <br />organizatlon and the employee workforce. <br />V1Otn", information you think would be beneficial for the €ommittee to know <br />HopeSource prioritles and the priorities of the Homeless and Affordable Housing cornmlttee <br />strongly align wlth Governor lnslee's Reducing Poverty and lnequality 10-Year Plan, All of those <br />projected to be served by this funding will have housing stability plans, including education and <br />employment plans, HcpeSource's Hope University provides in-person and virtual coaching ln <br />life skills such as basic budgeting, credit and debt, smart spending, stress management, and <br />healthy living to ensure they can maintain their independence in the long term. The <br />HopeSource Hope Universlty suite works with people to strengthen or gain work skills and <br />behavior that will secure and sustain ernployment. <br />m <br />7
