KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 1, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Request for Qualifications for the <br />Vantage Wastewater Treatment Facility Capacity <br />Assessment. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works received support from the Conference of <br />Governments (COG) to solicit a Request for Qualifications <br />(RFQ) to perform a system capacity assessment for the <br />Vantage Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF). Water <br />District 6 owns and operates the WWTF and Public Works <br />has the capacity to manage the assessment project in <br />support of the District. Public Works desires soliciting for <br />these services with a contract anticipated to run through <br />spring of 2026. Public Works has prepared a Request for <br />Qualifications which has been reviewed by Water District <br />6, and is now ready for publishing and Board of County <br />Commission authorization to issue said Request for <br />Qualifications. Responses from qualified consultants are <br />due Thursday, July 24, 2025, at I0:00am. Funding for this <br />project utilizes the 2025 Distressed County Sales and Use <br />Tax (0.09) funds. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the issuance of the Request for Qualifications as <br />requested by Public Works. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Request for Request for Qualifications; Statement <br />of Qualifications <br />LEAD STAFF: Cameron Curtis, County Engineer. <br />
