KITTITAS COUNTY <br />EC STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Special Meeting <br />TUESDAY 1:00 PM May 27, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />Brett Wachsmith <br />Others: Kady Porterfield (Event Center Director) <br />1. Call to Order - Chairman Osiadacz called the meeting to order at 1:00pm. <br />2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit) — none <br />3. Approve Chair's Signature on a Developers Agreement with City of Ellensburg — Staff report <br />was presented by Porterfield along with received legal advisement comments. Vice -Chairman <br />Wright moved to approve the chair's signature on the agreement. Commissioner Wachsmith <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />OTHER BUSINESS — Commissioner Wachsmith asked about unauthorized parking in the <br />future RV lot. Porterfield shared that it does happen often, and even bus groups that stage in that <br />area do not reach out ahead of time. Porterfield shared that livestock sale agreement is still <br />pending. The Friends of the Fair will meet tomorrow night (May 28) and she hopes to hear back <br />good news that we can move forward with signing. Fair worker positions will open sometime in <br />June. Commissioner Wachsmith shared he knows of lots of high school students that want to <br />apply. Porterfield provided an update on the status of preventative maintenance work around the <br />barn area and remainder of the grounds, mostly focusing on electrical needs and other safety <br />enhancements. Porterfield tried to contact the Bowling Alley lessee about the proposed opening <br />date conflict but had not heard back.
