BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 - <br />AUTHORIZING A "LAND USE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT" EXTENSION WITH GRANT <br />COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT NO.2 FOR THE VANTAGE BOAT LAUNCH. <br />WHEREAS: Interlocal cooperation agreements between municipal agencies are authorized by the <br />Revised Code of Washington Chapter 39.34; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and Grant County Public Utility District No. 2 entered into a cooperative <br />land use agreement for Vantage Boat Launch operations and maintenance with <br />Resolution 2016-105; and <br />WHEREAS: An extension to the agreement was entered into on May 7, 2024 with Resolution 2024- <br />086; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County and Grant County Public Utility District No. 2 desire sharing ongoing <br />operations and maintenance responsibilities for the Vantage Boat Launch facility in <br />Kittitas County for public recreational benefits; and <br />WHEREAS: The proposed agreement provides time for both entities to address key operations and <br />maintenance issues associated with boat launch operations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby authorize the Chairman's signature on Grant County Public <br />Utility District No. 2 "Land Use Cooperative Agreement" — Vantage Boat Launch. <br />DATED this 17th day of June 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
