BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> NO.2025- <br /> RESOLUTION TO DISSOLVE THE BOARD OF HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> (BOHAC) <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Health of Kittitas County(BOH) established the Board of Health Advisory <br /> Committee (BOHAC)via Resolution No. 93-6; and <br /> WHEREAS, the BOH established BOHAC pursuant to Chapter 70.05 RCW for the purposes of <br /> promoting public participation in the identification of public health needs,development of <br /> public health policies, and assistance in assuring health needs are met; and <br /> WHEREAS, House Bill 1152 was passed in 2021 requiring a change to the composition of local Boards <br /> of Health; and <br /> WHEREAS, prior to the passage of the Bill,Boards of Health were primarily comprised of county <br /> commissioners; and <br /> WHEREAS, post Bill passage,Boards of Health have been expanded to include additional members <br /> that must fit one of four categories to include health care providers,public health workers, <br /> people how have experienced inequity in healthcare,or general community stakeholders; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the current Board composition requirements serves to accomplish the same goals and <br /> objectives that led to the initial creation of BOHAC and it is no longer necessary to have a <br /> separate advisory board; <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health of Kittitas County,hereby dissolves <br /> the Kittitas County Board of Health Advisory Committee. <br /> DATED this day of )2025,at Ellensburg,Washington. <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY,WASHINGTON <br /> Chair <br /> 11 <br />
